I have a commitment from my six brothers to attend this year's homecoming at NCHS. This will be the 50th for Max's class of 1953. We attended last year for JA"s 50th and got to see some really old people. If my baby sister Debbie gets back from England before then we may have all 10 of the Dougherty's in Newton for the festivities. We promise not to stay long enough to run property values down. I hope we can all convey our sympathy to Mrs. Doerr and the rest of his family. My brother Jim told Tom that Mr. Doerr had told him that J.A. was the first Dougherty that he taught at NCHS and that Jim was the last. He taught all ten of us before he retired.
